The project is located in Helikelyo, along the Shabelle river approximately 4km to the northeast of beletwein town at the upstream side.

The rehabilitation of Helikelyo embarkment is, therefore, is critical long-term engagement geared towards improving the resilience of the beledwein town against recurrent flooding events.

• Daily supervision of works of contractors on site and ensuring maintenance of quality throughout all the construction stages.
• Supervised rehabilitation embankment contracts to ensure that the works complied with the technical designs, drawings, specifications, conditions of the contract, quality assurance standards, and sound engineering practice.
